On an iPhone
Apple’s accessibility settings include Larger Text and additional accessibility sizes. These instructions are based on the current official guide; use its version selector if your menus differ.
- Open Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Larger Text.
- Move the slider to a comfortable size. If needed, turn on Larger Accessibility Sizes.
- Open an app you use often. Check both reading and buttons. Return to the same slider to adjust or undo.
On Android
Android manufacturers use different menus. Settings search is often the simplest way to find text controls.
- Open Settings and search for Font size or Display size.
- Adjust the available slider, then test a message and a familiar app.
- Some apps do not follow the system font-size setting. Check that app’s own settings or try magnification.
On a Windows computer
Windows has text-size and display options, plus Magnifier for enlarging part or all of the screen. The official guide separates Windows versions.
- Open Settings and search for Text size.
- Increase the size gradually and apply the change.
- If the whole screen needs to look bigger, review the display scaling guidance rather than only changing text.
Try one small step
A little practice, no pressure.
Try reading the same short message before and after one size change. Which feels more comfortable? Keep the setting you prefer; there is no correct size for everyone.
